The Drywallers started laughing when they saw the wireguards in the electrical boxes,
but they quit laughing when they tried to jam the router in there!
Just ask any electrician, "What do you think of Drywallers?" In response you will get a lot of dramatic language. The frustration of coming back to a job site and seeing a mess in the electrical boxes is enough to make anyone want to pull their hair out. You leave them clean. All of your work is straight. The only thing left to do is attach switches and receptacles and you are done.
When you return what you find is a mess of drywall mud or plaster caked in and on the boxes. Sometimes the box is stuffed full with it. If mud is a minor issue then all the wires have been spray painted and you can't even tell what colors the wires were. The first thought is revenge. You know they don't care one bit about your job and it seems like they go out of their way to mess up your hard work. Your next thought is the amount of time you will now be wasting to clean out the boxes and clean paint off the wires, and at your own expense. Just thinking about that is exhausting. Haven't you been here before? All the time wasted only to get you back to where you were in the first place.
As you start to clean out the first box, what do you find? The wires have been nicked all the way in the back. There isn't even enough room to splice them together! Adding to that you find that the router went through the side of the plastic box and now you have to replace that too, again at your expense!!!
Twenty minutes later you find yourself at the second box. You find the same mess, except this time the mud is so caked on you have to cut it out with a drywall hand saw. The mud is cut out and what do you see next? Wires you just cut!! Now you are fuming. You are really glad the Drywallers are long gone—this is cause for a throw down!! Just think—what are the rest of the boxes going to be like. You only have about one hundred and fifty left to go.
"I want a simple solution. Something that is easy, fast and cheap. I want this problem to go away. I am tired of cleaning up the messes of others".
WireGuard is the answer. It is something that every electrician wants. You no longer have to worry and wonder—"What is happening to my wires?"—"How much time am I going to spend fixing things I should never have to fix in the first place?"
WireGuards are made of 18 gauge steel and cover most residential and commercial applications. They are easy to install. All you have to do is push them in! They come out easy—just put a screwdriver into the slot in front, turn and pull them out. There is no way you can hurt them. Mud, paint, rust…it just does not matter. Pull them out and take them to the next job.
Finally the solution is totally under your control. There is no more upset because of what has been done to you. When the Drywallers come to complain that they have broken a few router bits you can smile and sympathize with them!
